In 1953, Buick introduced the first-ever Buick Skylark to celebrate they 50th Anniversary in business. Its styling as well as mechanical innovations made it a benchmark car for Buick. It may have seemed like a custom hot rod for the new car buying public in 1953. It was slung low with a lowered roof line, special front fenders with no port-holes, and a full line of luxury options that they knew American buyers would want. Ellingson Motorcars in Rogers, Minnesota marked this 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible you see here for sale this week. It has the new 322 ci V8, Dynaflow automatic, power steering and power brakes, power windows and power seat. The Kelsey-Hayes wheels were a beautiful accent to the new styling. What a find.
